Artist's Description
The ruins of the Old Sheldon Church near Beaufort, SC, are impressive. Built between 1745 and 1755, the church was burned in 1779 by the British and rebuilt, only to be burned again in 1865 by the Northern Army in the Civil War.
About Tom Singleton
Tom Singleton has been involved in photography for more than forty years. He began with slides, moved to print film, then became involved with black and white film and developing his film and prints in a black and white darkroom. The evolution continued to the digital darkroom where Tom now uses a digital camera to record the images and a computer to edit the work. Through some robust programs color images can be transformed to black and white. Tom says......"I really enjoy doing color work but my real love is black and white and the atmosphere it creates. Through the magic of the computer I can have it all." Tom lives in Brattleboro , VT. He is very active in local photography groups and he exhibits his work in local venues.
