Artist's Description
When we visit San Francisco my wife and I have a tradition of having at least one irish coffee at the Buena Vista at the corner of Hyde and Beach. We discovered it while waiting for the cable car to haul us back up the hill to our hotel. A very welcoming place, you share a table with strangers who soon become friends. That is how we met a photographer named Jimo Perini 40 years ago and we still stay in touch.

The evolution continued to the digital darkroom where Tom now uses a digital camera to record the images and a computer to edit the work. Through some robust programs color images can be transformed to black and white. Tom says......"I really enjoy doing color work but my real love is black and white and the atmosphere it creates. Through the magic of the computer I can have it all." Tom lives in Brattleboro , VT. He is very active in local photography groups and he exhibits his work in local venues.
