Artist's Description
During the annual Brattleboro Photo Walk we were presented with many photo opportunities. This image depicts the place where the Whetstone Brook empties into the Connecticut River. It was tranquil when this was taken, after a thunderstorm it can be raging.
About Tom Singleton
Tom Singleton has been involved in photography for more than forty years. He began with slides, moved to print film, then became involved with black and white film and developing his film and prints in a black and white darkroom. The evolution continued to the digital darkroom where Tom now uses a digital camera to record the images and a computer to edit the work. Through some robust programs color images can be transformed to black and white. Tom says......"I really enjoy doing color work but my real love is black and white and the atmosphere it creates. Through the magic of the computer I can have it all." Tom lives in Brattleboro , VT. He is very active in local photography groups and he exhibits his work in local venues.
