Fort Taber sits at the mouth of the harbor in New Bedford, Massachusetts guarding the Ascushnet River. No longer active it is a good example of fortifications that are obsolete in this world of modern weapons. This heavy duty ring is embedded in concrete and is still very capable of securing a heavy duty piece of equipment.
About Tom Singleton
Tom Singleton has been involved in photography for more than forty years. He began with slides, moved to print film, then became involved with black and white film and developing his film and prints in a black and white darkroom. The evolution continued to the digital darkroom where Tom now uses a digital camera to record the images and a computer to edit the work. Through some robust programs color images can be transformed to black and white. Tom says......"I really enjoy doing color work but my real love is black and white and the atmosphere it creates. Through the magic of the computer I can have it all." Tom lives in Brattleboro , VT. He is very active in local photography groups and he exhibits his work in local venues.
